Could you please set up a trailer archive here under the download section? Or is it too much for the sever/internet connection?

I love it now! With having to pay the site has become so much faster, with all the non paying people gone. I also don't see any more ads which is also good, for 20 bucks a year who cares

Id never pay that for a couple of screenshots and a trailer. For me it's much better to put that money on a game, since then I dont need those

Most games have screenshots and trailers/demos on their respective sites so personally I dont see the need to pay gamespot. Or visit them. IMO anyway.

Gamespot offers a service that many other places offer.. to ask for money to DL demo's that you can get from the makers sites is a laugher...
and the comments they "spin" on games.. well that's called HYPE and not worth the money it's bought with.
I prefer to take the extra 2 minutes and go to another place and get whatever I need.

The one thing I really like is you can download video reviews and previews. Gamespot hate to say it but also needs to make money, to stay alive and if you have not noticed it's getting harder to find demos of games without going through crap like fileplanet (Line que??). Or you could always wait a few weeks, to fine a fast server. As for the other sites it's only matter of time before you have to pay there as well and to be blunt no one right now can touch gamespot when it comes to coverage, speed, reviews, previews etc... BTW did you see all the Doom3 stuff?? Oh yeah you don't have a membership

Anyway I am willing to pay 20 bucks a YEAR for some speed etc. And to think it's still cheaper then any game magazine subscription. Yet you get way more stuff.

Sure, but I still rather pay that 20 bucks on a game than a site publishing screenshots.

I'd pay for the video reviews but I just don't trust reviews anymore.

I also look at the user voting aswell, I like the fact gamespot uses that. They also let users write there own reviews, I have seen the gamspot staff get flamed a few times, now that was funny..

Then you're crazy AlexG. Gamespot reviews are all over the place. Gamespot falls regularly for hype. Lots of bad games get high reviews there if they are majorly hyped and lots of great games get mediocre reviews.

I agree with most of there reviews, could you give me any example where they where WAY off compared to other sites? I use review scores the same as I would a movie review. I may not agree with a 4/5 star review of a movie but I get a general idea how high the production values are. I just want to make sure I am getting my moneys worth. If anything they will get me to at least check out a demo.
