Results from the 1.09 beta are not accepted on the Metaverse ?!?

I recently finished a game played with the 1.09 beta version of GalCiv, and while my upload of the results at the end of the game was reported as successful, it has not shown up on the metaverse web page. And in a quick search through the scores of the best players I can find no report of a game played with a version higher than 1.05.

It's not a big deal, but I find it hard to understand why after shelling out an extra $30 to get a beta version of the program I should be rewarded by a refusal to accept a score that I got being an early subscriber.

You need to upgrade your Galciv registration to a Dregnin.net registration.

See instructions:

Updating your GalCiv registration to a Drengin.net registration

When your game is submitted your serial number will be submitted along with your score. All scores on the Metaverse are directly tied to your player name and your serial number. At some point if you upgrade to Drengin.net you will receive a new serial number. Once you have received this new serial number you should register Drengin.net on your system via Stardock Central. Then you should upgrade your Player Registration on the Metaverse to include your new serial number by converting your old scores to use the new Drengin serial. Because of the different serial numbers you must convert your old scores, submitted under your GalCiv serial number, to the Drengin.net serial number in order for both your old and new scores to show up together. On the Player Registration page there is a separate section for you to convert your serial number. Enter your Drengin.net serial number there and press the convert button. This action will change all your scores to use your new Drengin.net serial number and then change your player registration to use this number as well. From this point on all future scores should be submitted using the Drenign.net serial number and should show up on the Metaverse along with your old scores. If for some reason you have already entered your Drengin.net serial number but did not go through the conversion process don't worry. Just re-register your player with your original GalCiv serial number. Then return to the Player Registration screen and the conversion form will now be available. Just follow the process outlined above.

Hello Ray,
Thks for that advice. I had the same problem, but I'm registered with my Drengin net serial number (though I don't remember "converting" anything-- maybe that's why my last game doesnt appear in the metaverse).
I'll try what you said.

Then Y'll resubmit the game I told you about (last week I think), I finally managed to win after some huge space battles, although I could not determine if there was or not a fleet bonus beeing applied -- as we discussed. Some times it appeared there was, others not.

Well, why not? But I'm not nearly as good a player as you are. Aren't you concerned that it might weaken you (in a global level --- I don't know how empire alignements and scores are calculated).
In spite of that I like coming in here and sharing the little I know: not a very good strategist but full of good will ;) .

So why not. :)

Empires are summations of individual scores. You will only "weaken" us per se if you have a negative score (which I've only ever seen once due to a bug :D). Not that we care too much about that.

We love to have people participating actively in our discussions and we have players of all skill levels. That's great because we learn from one another.

The Fellowship is not projected as a Good empire but we tend to be seen by others as such. We have players of all game alignments.

Hello Freya, I guess we are the latest new comers to the fellowship.
I've only been there for a few more minutes than you, but I guess I can already say it looks like a nice place to be: Good discussions and very good players, with vast knowledge of the game.
But I can see you are already a fine player (but from where I stand, almost everyone is ... ;p )

kjancaitis, I had a similar problem, and Ray's suggestion (post #5) solved it for me. Maybe you should give it a try.
