1. I've heard that there is a dragonal and dark anrnor event. They sound very interesting to get in you game. so far I haven't got any of them yet. I was wondering what happened when you get these events.

2. I seem to not to be able to keep up on the technology race. Actuall, with research on 100 percent i have a chance, but that neglects social and military. I was just wondering how you can keep up on technology

Oh, and how does the computer on maso get dreadnoughts so fast (five or six years

)

Apparently on Maso, the AI has a HUGE research bonus and Tech's very very very fast. I've not played a Maso game but in my recent crippling game I kept well ahead of the others in tech by research what they did and making sure I got all the trade goods. Then I'd trade these for techs I hadn't researched and research up from there, rinse repeat. Plus it helps when the Drengin are giving your techs like Interstellar tactics and Battleship Technology for Nano-techs. I have no clue why the Drengin were so keen in wanting those techs last night. It was a strange game all around.

Durett, the events are random. You should be able to lmod the file to make them more likely to happen?
Robert, you can't appy crippling strats to maso. The difference between crippling and maso reminds me of that between cakewalk and crippling (frankly).
I still have to be ahead of someone in research on maso (except on tiny rare). They get huge bonuses (tech, PQ, ...) and they trade between themselves. You can and should also trade techs with them. That is the only way to get techs in maso. Trade one tech for another one with ai1, trade these two for a third one with ai2, these three for a fourth one form ai3, repeat and rinse. You won't get miiltary techs that way, though.

How do you make the event occur more often? Also where is the dark arnor event in the program files?
