Search button and residual moves

Hello.

You know that Search button, I always assumed it would find ships (and anything that moves thats on your team) that have moves left to execute in the current turn. If theres no moves left to be made then you get that little 'drrrr' sound.

Well it's BS or at least I am mistaked about its purpose. I can't count the times I've found Antimatter missiles, Combat Transports and a whole variety of ships and scouts on the map with moves yet to be made (even at a turns end and being set on auto pilot) after clicking and getting the 'drrrr' sound. I've been manually checking all ship movements for so long I kinda forgot about it but now that I'm trying Larger Maps it's becoming an issue.

I think ver 1.09 probably doesn't have this problem by all accounts but I'm still stuck with 1.05 for the moment . . . does anyone know what I mean?

1.05 seems to work just fine using the Tab key to find any ships that haven't moved - at least in my experience. I honestly don't think I've ever used the Search button, although it's supposed to do the same thing.

Obi Wan thanks! I'll try the tab instead, much appreciated . . . on these Large maps I get sooooo muddled-up, sending an armada across the galaxy to attack the wrong planet at the moment seems a pretty regular 'tactic' I seem to be employing! LOL

I can't fathom playing a Gigantic Map . . . . yikes.

Cotal,

The Tab key, together with using the keypad for ship movement, has saved me many, many incorrect mouse clicks. I usually play Large maps, which take awhile, but I don't have any problems controlling ships.

Another problem with using the mouse is that if you double-click on a ship instead of single-clicking, it usually goes into "guard" mode instead of just being selected. Then, you need to scroll the map around and try to find it again, as Tab won't highlight ships on guard duty...

Is "Cotal" short for "Quetzalcotal" ("Quetzalcoatl?" can't remember how to spell it) by the way? The South American winged serpent? Odd to find one down under...
