playlist problem

I put all my MP3s in my galciv playlist folder(stupidly), then tried to create .m3u playlist files saved to the playlist directory, and it did not work...the playlist showed up but the music didn't play. It created a "Default" playlist which worked fine, but no other playlist did. I moved the mp3s to C:\MP3 and recreated the .m3u playlists and it works great. Took me hours to figure this one out. :(
Hope this helps anyone who makes the same mistake. :)

Big bounce up the forum!

I just found this, which kind of helps a problem I raised on "Reinstalled Windows... Problem!" about mp3s, but still doesn't tell me whether this is actually going to be fixed.

I have far too many mp3s and want to conserve disk space. The obvious solution has been to put them all onto CDs, and then play them from there (I conveniently happen to have two CD drives, although that's not a problem with GalCiv).

Unfortunately, I experience similar problems to Miles - GalCiv plays the first and only the first track of any playlist I care to create.

Is what's going on here a bu- er, an undocumented feature - or is this done by design? Is this on CariElf's list of issues outstanding? Is it on the forum list of issues outstanding? Is this likely to be solved in GalCiv at all? Will I ever make it to the end of my insanely long list of questions? Does anyone *actually* care?

Memory old chap, memory. It jerks enough as it is without adding MusicMatch or WinAmp to my woes. But has anyone else experienced this problem, and did they find another way around it?
