Missing Score in Metaverse - There yesterday, gone today

I upload a game yesterday. It was my first Huge galaxy game. It uploaded ok and appeared on my profile. Today I uploaded a Tiny game, and noticed the Huge Galaxy one is missing. I don't have any mods installed so am wondering what happened to it.
Thanks.

There is apparantly a Meta-wide recalc occuring now and based on your player id of 525, your scores have probably just been recalculated. Not sure whether this had anything to do with your missing game score though.

However, recalcs should not have the effect of removing any games. The only time I saw games removed is when Stardock deleted games because their scores were too high. Overmodded games are not deleted, they just get anomalous scores.

Ok, thanks for that. Will keep an eye out to see if it reappears. I know I was playing around with the events file a couple of months ago - but pretty sure I put it back to normal.

And scores being too high is not something I would have to worry about! :)

By the way, another question... What do the recalcs entail? I remember Frogboy saying that the higher difficulty levels would generate better scores... but thought that was coming with the expansion pack.
thanks again...

Recalcs basically entails the application of the degradation algo to scores. Older games contribute a smaller percentage of their scores to your overall score. One month old games contribute 95% (or 90% in your player profile), two month games contribute 90%... 85%....80% until 20%.

So without a recalc, the age of your games are determined from the date of your last submitted game. With a recalc, the age of your games is determined from the day of the recalc (eg today).

Better scores for higher difficulty levels is a tweak made for the Xpack. Separate issue. It was supposed to be implemented for Beta 3 but it didn't seem to work right.
