Screwy metaverse scoring

well, from my understanding the metaverse does scoring by taking your total score from all games, and dividing it by the square root of the total number of games played. This formula works fine for my score, and is accurate. Now when i load up the average score thing, i looked at the ppl around me (im rank #21 currently). The person above me, arkdoz, has the same number of games played and a slightly higher average score. My score is ~28k, so i think that his should be around there.... dead wrong. His reads 40k.

Now this didnt seem right, so i did the formula for his score, cause 40k did not seem right. His score should actually be ~29k, not the 40k he has. Now i tried to figure out why this was. Well, if you take the first 10 games (v 1.05) and do the formula, then add his last game score to that number (without any dividing), you get k. The last game has a v1.09 on it. So my question is are 1.09 games not being divided using the formula on the metaverse?? and if so, are they going to change so 1.05 arent? Because this seems slightly messed up, where people get full credit for games, while others get there scores divided.

edit: ok i lied using the formula he gets 38.1k, not 40, but still, something is messed up in the metaverse scoring.

The sqrt formula is the base formula but there is also the monthly block effect. For arkdoz, his games are played over two months so he has 2 blocks. His current month block has 54980 points which is divided by sqrt(5 games in block). His 1 month old block has 42373 points which is divided by sqrt(6 games in block). This 1 month block is then degraded by 10%.

You on the other hand have only one block currently as all your games are still played within 30 days of your latest submission. So your total score is divided by sqrt(11 games).

Once your second monthly block is created early Sep, you will see a big jump in score.

Get IceMole's Metacalculator once it is published. It would be clear once you see the breakdown.
