It's NOT the money

Or in any case that's my opinion...

In other threads it has been intimated that a large chunk of credits in your bank when you submit a game is a cause of anomalous scores. In one thread, CariElf said that this was the likely cause of anomolous scores when using EBZ's guide. Being the curious sort, I decided to test that thought.

Just submitted my last game using the GCCG. At the time I won, I had a bit over 2.6 million in cash... :SURPRISED:

I do deviate from the guide a bit at the end, and that is where I suspect the anomolous scores are coming from. Near the end of a game, I will spend 50-100 turns cranking out some infrastructure on all the planets that have flipped, which wouldn't normally be done if you follow the GCCG exactly. My theory is that the scoring equation looks at your cash reserve and compares it with your relative infrastructure and declares that it was impossible for you to get that much money without cheating, thus anomolous.

Of course... I could be wrong ;p
