Anyone on this board has any experience running PBEM role playing games as the game master?

It's a great concept of running a traditional RPG game but through a forum much like this one. Very simply, the GM posts the scenarios/adventure and the players would post their actions, conversations, etc. The GM does all the dice rolling and resolutions in the background.

We already have people on this board who have expressed an interest to participate as players but we need someone who would be willing to be the GM. Of course, it would be best if the GM has experience with this mode of RPG.

I would be interested in oining, but I am not sure how this would work. I can spend an hour or so a day also. I am strating up a company which means some days I have hours of free time and then the next it is 24 hours straight.

But I would be interested in learning if this would work and determine if I could commit the time.

Thanks, I received the inventation. I will join when I return on 10/8. I am starting up a company and I have to lock up a supplier tomorrow. If everything goes as planned, I will be able to do this kind of stuff for work in a year or so.

I will start lurking later this week.

It went really well and the company is getting a great kick start. Just have to keep the bill collectors guessing where I am located.

It was interesting reading the notes posted by everyone. Seems like the adventure has just started.

I will ask if you would like to have a healer around. I sent a note the the DM stating I would like to bump into the group and get involved. We will all see if that will be allowed later.

So if you all meet an Elf named Celeborne, do not kill the messager.

Hi All,

I received a notice that of lovley DM is going to introduce Celeborne to you all in a little while. She was thinkingn this weekend.

Celeborne is a Elf Druid which should run into the group in the not to distance future.

Looking forward to being part of the gang.

Evil Steve,

I am sure we have all be a DM in the past, the more complexe the character at the start the less control the DM has over the story. Maybe just a plain old nasty, uncoth, bitching cleric would fit the DM style.

it's ok - really. i think there's a need for 1 healer, and that's sorted, so am happy to bow out...
