Newbie question

Hey all,I just bought the game,it looks like fun!! My problem is that it wont install!!! My cd drive just hums and I get the "program not responding" message. I also get a message that says "flash player 5.0 r30 not responding". I have a new puter,P4 2.6 ghz, 256 memory. My cd drive is fine,I have installed many other programs without a problem. I took the game back to Best Buys to exchange it becouse I thought that the CD was defective and he put it in the store's puter and it loaded right up. I have also installed all new windows updates and driver updates. Any help would be appreciated,Id really like to check this game out!!! Thanks,Ken

I could take a wild guess... it sounds like it is trying to play some kind of multimedia file using Macomedia's flash player, but flash player isn't working correctly. I don't know if GalCiv really needs flash player or not, but you could try and download the latest version and try again.

I actually tried that,I downloaded flash player 6.0. I am able to search the cd by opening it with "my computer". The game cd has this program on it,I suspect that there is some kind of compatability issue here but I dont know what. It really bugs me,lol. Thanks
