Newbie Question

Ok so I've just traded a bunch of technology with the Caranids for their Trade Good "Diplomatic Translators" when I did this it duely disappeared from the Caranid's side of the trading but did not turn up on my side.

What do I do to confirm I now have this?
Any help appreciated.

It doesn't turn up on your side because you can't trade a trade good you didn't build, because the builder has a monopoly

So did I receive any benefit from the trade and if so where can I see this?

You did receive the benefit from the trade good, in this case +40 diplomacy I believe. Your diplomacy score, under domestic screen/stats should have changed to reflect that. Otherwise, I don't know where you can see it.
