Strange Electrical Graphics

If I think what you mean is right it means the ship is damaged.

The electrical graphic indicates that your ship does not have full hit points, ie that they are damaged.

You probably got a tech or trade good that increases your ships' maximum hit points. Such items do not increase your ships current hit points to the maximum capacity, so your ships display as being damaged since they don't have all the hit points they could have. The graphic will display until the ship repairs its way up to full health.

I agree with vincible. It happens to me every time I get a significant increase. A small increase in MHPs doesn't always indicate damage.
