Happy Labour Day

Now, I really have NO idea what this means to my American friends, but since y'all are celebrating it, just thought I'd wish you a happy one! Does it mean that no one labours, or everyone labours, or pregnant women go into labour....

Heck, I would just call it Lazy Day myself, except everyone seems to go on trips for the weekend and it seems like a lot of work trying to make it back on Monday, so the name fits. ;) An interesting study just confirms what conventional wisdom already knows: Europeans are more productive per work hour, but Americans are more productive overall due to putting in excessive hours. Looks like the Europeans got the work smarter part down and us sucker Americans got stuck with work harder. :p

Nevermind me, I am just some misguided American who thinks we have too many holidays because our corporate masters want to look like they are doing well with the quarterly earnings reports at the expense of the employees.

Labor day is simply an excuse for a three day weekend near the end of summer. Ironically, I still had to work anyway.
