Worth getting the Cd or just go for the DoWnLoAd

hi , i live in the uk and this game is not available until 12 september.

Is it worth waiting for the retail cd to be released in the UK , or will i not be missing much if i download the game ?

If it were me, I would just do the download. You get it right away and it's the latest version of the game.

Go for the download, rudel (esp if you have a fast connection).

The other factor is that the money goes straight to the developer.

Plus you can get a CD if you download, but you pay for it. Better to burn it yourself if you need one.
Apparently, direct sales are sure to get to Stardock, whereas retail is not. But then you might be able to refund if you buy from retail and don't like the game.

download and have the cd sent. If you ONLY download and have to re-install at some point, you will want it on CD. Yes, you could burn it yourself, and run the risk of that copy not working, or screwing up half way through, or any one of a bunch of hassles. It's only $5 more for CD.

Does the manual come as a printed book or is it only on the cd in pdf format ?

if its pdf only i will do the download , if its printed ill have the disk sent on to me .

The manual is pdf on the cd. I'm also in the uk and I downloaded. You need broadband though, because it even with adsl it takes 3 1/2 hours to download. What it would take with dail up I dread to think...

How long does the CD take to ship to the UK? There is NO WAY I'm even thinking of downloading 850Mb, but I'm wondering just how much difference it makes to you guys at Stardock if I go out and buy this in the shops on Friday? I can download just the core 50Mb, is that right? Then wait for the rest of it to come by post?

I'll wait a little while longer & get it shipped if it means you guys get even just $10 more in your pockets...

but I REALLY hate .pdf files :(
