Interested in a character only story thread?

I want to start a thread in which everyone tells stories about their particular character not necessarily involving their empire but just some good reading and writing for those of us that would enjoy contributing stories about our characters.

Example:

'Dark Assassin (DA) takes his specifically designed Ranger class starship deep behind enemy lines for an assassin job of the highest importance.'

Just a story that tells the life or events of your character that you feel everyone will benefit from. I know I would love to tell stories about the evil deeds of the Mighty Dark Assassin.

(The Lord looks down from his throne, with an discussed and impatient look.)

* LORD MM77 * My blades thirst for blood! I need BATTLE! Shall I kill ALL for whom I know? Or shall I kill ALL fresh meat! How shall I go about this quest?

(The god ponders.)

* LORD MM77 * For I AM DEATH FOR I BRING IT! For is there any out there that would like to taste my BLADE!

( The god ponders to himself for he wishes to impress the goddess CariElf )

* LORD MM77 * For I will issue a challenge to all GODS! I will reward any god that can kill me for death only makes me stronger! I taste blood on the tip of my sword.... SWEET!

( His sick twisted soul waits for his first victim. )

Here's what I want to do:

1. I wanted to see who was interested, so everyone can start writing their individual stories.

2. When my first story is done I will (emphasis on 'will) start a thread with my story.

3. I want others to indulge the rest of us with the backstory on their character. But I want it to be just them writing about them. Now they can write their empire in like saying 'the EVIL Empire hired me to do this' and such. But I want it mainly to be individuals letting the rest of us know more about their character.

I just thought it would something to mention and so I'm not alone writing these stories (not that I mind being alone but it'll be more fun with others joining in as well)

Look for it within the next week I have to redefine it with my switch from the Terran Federation to the Evil Empire but I hope to have the first installment in its on thread soon.

I invite anyone who wants to give it a shot to do so, and do kill yourself trying to make it perfect b/c no one cares how good a writer you are (well at least I don't care ). ;p

Heh, I'm too used to adding my trash on the posse thread. :) But maybe if we got a website for stories set up, people could read some of the classic stories on all the empire threads out there without reading the recruiting propoganda.

Good idea, let me know where you want me to post my own story. My codename in the underworld is the "Rafter". So that is my code name for the ones who knows what that means. ;)

I have to get motivated to finish my first installment but hopefully with quite a few interested readers I will.

This thread would act more or less like an updated:

1. I'll let everyone know when I start it and when it's name.

2. When I submit a new part I'll list the name in here and I invited others to do the same. That way the Story Thread will be just that: the Story Thread. I don't mind comments like:
"Keep up with the stories"
"I'll get one of my own written up"
and such.
I just don't want to allow the thread the get cluttered with inane things, but it will happened so there isn't a lot that I can do.

I'll let everyone know the name of the thread and when I start it.

P.S. I was looking for a response from Ray sooner rather than latter, but it looks like Ray is getting slow in his 'old' age. ;p

Well, I'm hosting the comic already, I'd have room for some stories - it'd be easy to just copy-paste the story parts from threads onto an html page.

The authors could even add a few comments or hyperlinks about the other threads they were referring to, cause right now we've got about ten threads prodding each other in strange new directions.

I put this together for organizing the war of the world stories and the other fan fiction. it's flexible enough for just about anything fiction related.

Ray, Gerakken and recently, Obi are working on polishing it up and working on best practices for submissions and administration.

We are all open to any ideas and suggestions. :HOT:

Anyways, I finished with the first installment but now I'm waiting to proofread it and then its going in a new thread.

Speaking of which, does anyone want to offer a name that would make it stand out? You know as something to read like something cool? I'm kind of suffering from a version of writer's block, cool names isn't coming to me now.

Suggestions are welcome.

ESS stands for Evil Star Ship, just to let everyone know.
