Oh... and an update on me...

Oh, and for those who care.. a quick update about myself....

No girlfriend again... Though I'm oddly used to this...

I'm Enlisting... due to ship out early Febuary to California for BT... Air Force for me since apparently that's what all the branches want me enrolled in.

I'll admit I'm kinda going to be using the Air Force some... since I plan on having them help me pay for College =) Though I'm going to be an Active Full Timer.... I just can't pass up the chance to have a degree (and get to be an officer) that I can have a lot of help paying for....

Uhm... lets see... that's really about it... cept that my arms, shoulders, upper back, abs, and chest are all REALLY sore from working out.... though it's kinda funny because I worked out Tuesday and the real soreness for some reason didn't kick in until this morning...

Uhm.. other than that nothing going on... just decided a quick catch up for those who care...

So, are you going Commissioned rather than enlisted?

What's your career field going to be?  What would you like to do?  I'm not sure whether I should recommend Security Forces to you or not...if you're going to be 'O' status then it won't be so bad, in fact I think it'd be a good choice...but that's just me.

Are you going to try and fly for them?  If you are, let me know...I have a friend who was a B-1 pilot before he got medically retired, I'm sure he'd be happy to chat with you.

If you've got any questions about the AF in general, give me a call.....you'll have to email me to get my cell number, I'm not publishing it here for all to see!

Good for you!  Keep in touch and let me know how you do!

Yep, planning on being Commissioned. After seeing that you can retire after 20 years and get full pay I was hooked on that line... lol

Don't know what my career field is going to be yet... the recruitment officer is saying that I still have a lot of time to chose and if I want I could even jump around from job to job once past BT to find out what I like.. and to me that seems the best option atm because normally I'm really good at everything in 'general' but it takes something special for me to become very proficient at it.

I WANT to fly for them, Though somehow I doubt that will work out, since I have no piloting experience (cept when my friend let me take the controls flying a cesna... lol).. unless you count countless computer flight sim's as experience... which I somehow doubt they will lol

I do have MANY questions about the AF... and I think my recruiter is going insane trying to answer them all lol I'm pestering him with about 20 questions a week since I started talking to him.. At least he seems very patient hehe I admit I ask a LOT of dumb questions... but I'm of the mindset of asking dumb questions instead of being ignorant and having it bite me in the ass later hehe

Most likely though I'm going to get some technical job sitting in front of a computer reporting numbers or unit locations or some such thing like that. I'm majorly adept in computers and I'm a wiz with numbers. I can see a sequence of numbers of up to about 20 in a row and remember them after seeing them for only about a minute and remember the sequence for a long long time.... such as I still have old ATM and CC numbers of mine memorized that I havn't used for years... lol Most likely a computer or technical job though because that's mainly why I've been pushed to the air force... It's supposedly my computer skills and such that has the other branches pushing me to the AF.. or at least that's what they are telling me.. for all I know they just don't want me and want to push me towards the AF>.. lol

I suppose the best advice I can give you is not to believe everything your recruiter tells you....and like i said, if you want I'll put you in touch with the guy I know who used to fly.  Apart from me and my husband, he's probably the best person to talk to about matters military.

Welcome to the ranks of the USAF!  It's has the potential to be the best thing you ever did.....

Lol, aye I know not to believe everything.. which is another reason for all the question's because sometimes you catch a slip up or two which I've done already

I'm such an evil little brat! hehe

Best wishes, M-Post. Heh. I'm partial to military types, ha ha ha. It sounds like you have a really good plan set up for your future, and I hope that the Air Force will be good to you. You ought to give us your mailing address when you get to basic (don't know how you're going to accomplish that without internet access, but it's an idea) so that we can all send you encouragement letters.

Lol, Well I'm decently shy about placing out pic's of myself on the internet.... though I was going to post an old one I have from about 2 years ago.. but when I looked at it all I could think was "Omg I was fat then!!" Lol... I'm kinda petty and proud of the fact that I've lost about 50lbs since that pic was taken... I don't have such a fat head anymore lol
