I think Cotal - er, Amidala - is just having a bit of fun. With all of the empire-hopping going on this week, I think players are looking for a way to generate some excitement at the top. I'm sure things will settle down eventually.

In the meantime, I see you're doing well on Maso - no small accomplishment. Echoing ricbayer, just take a deep breath. Playing the Metaverse instead of the game is an easy way to get burned out.

Just to chuck my two cents worth in..

you have huge respect from most people on here I'm sure, including me and are supported by many. For what its worth I always enjoy reading how the empire is doing and have some great epople in ot like Evil Steve, Rainbird, Stydracos etc..

You and your crew have been the inspiration for many of the stories and the fun on here which is what its all about really.

So what are you getting at . . . ? Your a hero and I'm some kind of Empire hoping slut, is that it? Your reputation preceeds you too Blue, your boisterous dim witted sarcasm towards other fledgling empires is well known, and frankly has been a major embarassment to me on many ocassions, gee whiz are 'you' such an arrogant poser in real life too Blue . . is that a fair question? C'mon, come on down from your ivory tower already . . .

'Dying Empire' . . . WTF are you talking about? You where in sixth place when I joined? So whats changed, whats the problem . . .

Let me tell you why I left the ANZACs in the first place (you weren't around at the time) . . . I was getting hasseled by a number of members of GROSS to join them, no worries I thought about it but I didn't like Pointius (then he was even more opinionated that he is now) so that was never going to happen, but they kept up thier efforts until it was almost unbearable!

Did you read some of the derogatory stories they wrote about me? Huh! Not very nice at all . . . The fellowship was a sanctuary and thats why I joined them, they were kind and didn't care about scores and all that crap so much then. Somewhere along the line Ray pretty much gave me all the clues I needed to be able to play the game and contribute some semi-decent scores. So what did I do then? I returned to the ANZACs, we became a republic and you know the rest . . .

I never read one foul post from any of the Fellowship crew after I left them . . . I guess they all knew what I was trying to do and had some 'respect' for me as a person, they're most probably like that in real life too . . .

Playing games is about having fun Blue, with so little activity from the ANZAC Republicans lately, why wouldn't I want to leave. Anyway it's all so philosophical, seems you went out of your way to make me feel bad . . . as they say a true friend wouldn't and an enemy simply couldn't . . .

To me the empire is like family.. and I'll always be upset when anyone leaves.. as Rainbird can Testify to.. and do my damdest to get them to come back. To settle problems when they occure.. I know that i'm too vocal at times.. but I can't help it.. If i feel something I say it..

Yes the ANZACS are indead great ppl.. sort after by many other empires.. and i'm proud of each ands every one of them (including those that are no longer ANZACS... thats why I'll always welcome them back.. no matter how many times they leave)

I'm a newer member to this empire and can only speak from what I see. As far as I can see Blue cares Cotal, otherwise he wouldn't have bothered.

No not at all... Your like a florence nightingale (a person who likes helping those in need..) and I respect you for that. Its just that this is the 3rd time that I've came in after struggling to get the ANZAC's somewhere and seen that you've dropped out. Once to FOTR once to hop between 2 or 3 little empires (even though I found out afterwards what you were trying to mislead other empires away from our empires score), and now to the Jedi. Each time I've welcomed you back with open arms and will continue to do so, not just you but any X ANZAC..


Excuse me... The ONLY Empires I've ever gone after are those infront of us on the Metaverse.. Yes i'm boisterous, I may even be a dim wit, and yes sarcastic.. (In the sence that I don't look at the metaverse like we are playing happy families.. If it was there wouldn't be any scoring involved) I've helped out a few fledgling empires.. eg: the evil empire by antagonising some readers enough so that they joined them.. and in any of my so sarcastic dim witted comments have never been ment personaly until now.. I was genuinly sick when I'd seen that you'd left again.. and YES I was serously thinking of chucking it all in.. i mean whats the sence in flogging a dead horse. I guess i do it because i'm nothing but a sarcastic dimwit who doesn't know when to give up. No matter... I'm a glutten for punishment.. but it does still hurt...

I stated dying empire.. when I took up the empire it was dying.. When I first joined the metaverse it was in 5th place.. and had dropped down to 9th place. It only had 3 regular players left in it including me, down from 8 or 9 at least from when I first joined the metaverse. If that isn't dying what is.

I'm not the one who started the thread that "Cotal has done it again" so yes some others out there who have been following you will have seen that you have changed empires at least 5 times that i can remember.

No I never read the old msgs where you were picked on.. If I had then I would have done something about it.

My original msg (if you go back) I even asked you if there were any problems.. and to contact me personaly. The msg you quoted me from was in responce (an angry one.. to the prevous msg that you had posted in that thread about that ppl take ppl swapping empires to serously.. It does hurt when it happens repeatedly.. I'm sure that if someone did it to you that you would feal the same way.. As i've stated I look at the empire as family.. and look at it as though I've failed as emperor when ANYONE leaves, especially without even saying goodbye..



YES Games are about having fun... Not everyone can be as active as you, .. I'm constantly playing GalCiv.. (its never turned off unless i'm rebooting or it crashes) and I for one can't play and post msgs at the same time.. As for why shouldn't you leave.. as I said its up to you.. but at least let us know that your thinking about it.. I don't think that the empire is slowing down.. in fact Evil and Rainbird are quite active in the forums.. and I do what i can.. and if you look at the list of senetors you'll see that we have at least 10 very active (at least 3 games in the last 30 days) players.. fair enough they arn't as active as you.. and i'm definatly not the quickest (in fact i think i'm about the slowest player around)
As for setting out to make you feel bad.. My Original msg when I saw that you'd left went unanswered.. than I saw your post about how ppl (I took as meaning me) getting so upset about when players swap empires.. When you left FOTR you at least told them that you were going.. and as I said I felt like i had been kicked in the teeth and trodden on 3 times.. I was feeling bad and saw red when I read that msg of yours that didn't even acknowledge that i have been trying to speak to you to find out what was going on and why... I appologise now for the cracks about real life.. But I did affect me in my REAL life.. I took you leaving the empire personaly.. (as i've said i'm a dimwit.. and a fool.. and YES ppl do walk all over me in REAL live.. and I never ever learn..)

I do still look at you as a friend.. friends have arguments and they do make each other feel bad at times.. if we didn't feel bad then we wouldn't be friends..

All I recall was our matrix gag. Was there other undue attempts by members of our empire to get you to join us at that time. If so you didn't say it then. Now more than a month later.? Hmmmm. How could that be unbearable. As I recall it was alot of take the red pill. And the Geektrix Gag was something you willingly participated in.
Though I told no one at the time, had you joined us you would have recieved an email that you should consider working out your differences with other members of the forum including the Anzacs first. I sent the same email to another member that joined us out of spite for another empire. That's not what we are about. I thought then (and still do) that your joining the fellowship was more to make a statment, not sanctuary as you claim. Which is why I would have likely kicked you. Not cuz I hate you or anything. But just because that's the wrong reason to join an empire. And It was the wrong reason to leave the Anzacs in the first place. And don't tell me you didn't form the buffalo bills or whatever it was then go to the fellowship as a jab at the posse. I don't consider (nor would any rational person) consider the half hearted recruiting geektrix thing we did unbearable. A piece of advice. Cut the distressed damsel act. It doesn't fit you.





Ok some of our stories were a bit over the top. I expressed my concerns to those who went over the top a bit at the time. I quite frankly don't even remember who now. But we slammed each other in em just as much as we slammed you or anyone else. All they are is stories. No one here even truly knows you or me or anyone else. Again, cut the damsel in distress act. It just doesn't fit.

Also Hey, give us some credit. We did post the step by step users guied and answered anyone's questions on how to beat it. The Pirates have now showed everyone how to beat the system 3 times. We've helped everyone to compete, not just a few 3 times now. No other empire has done that.

As for you not likeing me and calling me opinionated. Perhaps you should read the very post you made that statement in and look in the mirror afterword. Although I suppose I should count my lucky stars. I got off pretty easy compared to what you had to say to Bluesteel.

Oh and on empire swapping. Though after the fact I'm told it was to send a message to us and me, Ironically, I wasn't even here to see most of it. Nor did I check the empires score page for about a week. So How can I be angry about what I didn't even see? But many are and I understand their point. Anyone is free to join any empire they choose when they choose. But when the pirates took the Euro's and Apolyton down (which no one said we could) we did it with guts and effort. I wouldn't have it any other way. Sure I will accept new members, but getting to first via a swapper coming in and then leaving to make the next empire number one is well hollow in my book. It's just not for me. I've got a list of hoppers, and I will kick them if they join unless they convince me that G.R.O.S.S. is genuinely where they want to be.
