It gives me great pleasure to Announce that the reconciliation and merger of the ANZACs and The Australian Republic is now Complete, NeverNever has signed all the merger Documentation and it has been Accepted by all those in the Australian Republic. The Documentation Signing was witnesed by many other Citizens of the Metaverse. It's like a who's who of the metaverse here tonight.

We still havn't decided on a flag but we are sure that we will come to a solution soon

It is a tremendous honour to be the emperor who has successfully inspired, negotiated and signed with the emperor of the Australian Republic this historic Document to bring the whole of Old Australia and NewZealand back together. {BlueSteel Shakes the Hand of Never Never for the press to take a photo)

Let the Celebrations Begin.

A huge explosion blasts the atmosphere as the psycodelic Plasma fireworks fill the space viewports from "The A.S.S" .

The wallaby?kangaroo? icon is distinctively Aussie. It looks like a road sign -> Warning, wallaby crossing. :)

Does green and yellow have any special significance? The colours look weak. I feel stronger (primary) colours are more attractive.

Haven't you seen the green and gold our Aussie olympic champions wear on the gold medal podium? Looks like we need another Olympics to refresh your memory :p

Well, the green our sports-people use is a much darker green than the one behind the kangaroo sign, but I don't think BlueSteel was going for the green and gold theme here.

I shouldn't smack you for not knowing about the green and gold, I'm sorry. I should smack our tourism people for not spreading enough "Australian cultural influence". LOL

If the green is darker, it would remind me of the brazil national flag, except the kangeroo replaces the blue globe.

I think it looks fine, Blue. It sort of reminds me of a sign that's against a sky. The background's more of a blue-green.

BTW, Congrats on the merger! I added a plug for you guys in yesterday's Metaverse Review.

Congratulations on all your hard work. It's a thankless task in many ways.

I like the 'flag'. I actually think your rotation of flags is unique to the Metaverse and sorta keeps things fresh and interesting.

I can't see Rainbird in the Republic?

Rainbird hasn't signed up yet.. but according to Never Never, Rainbird agreed to the merger as well

So i think thats its only a matter of time till Rainbird gets online and signs in..

The only one that has actually joined up so far is Never Never.
My guess is that they are waiting to see if there old emperor sign up first. Gets treated with respect and welcomed in a manner befitting his X station

It has been a slow process of getting new overlords but we are getting there.. if you notice we have also weeded out the players that have a zero score and have been listed in the empire for more than 30 days.. I duno if that changes anything in the metaverse. Out map hasn't changed 1 bit since I signed up with the ANZACs .. my guess for this is because it didn't shrink when we had that major exidous (defections .. LOL ) from the empire. I can't get anything out of stardock about this.. I heard somewhere that the map gets ploted by the number of players against the score of the empire.. not sure though.. once again I can't get any conformation or denial.. Its depressing seeing other empires changing shape and size while ours remains the same :(

Blue Steel,

Low scores don't punish your empire score. Any score at all is added to the total.... eliminating scores of zero wouldn't help your empire score, but they may help you in Forum rankings (like when Gerakken runs his empire numbers).

I like the kangaroo sign... perhaps you should rotate logos, you have 4 good ones!!

One thing to note for members of disbanded empires is to log off and log on again before you can join another empire. Still remembered that Killa and ajm got stuck when FF was disbanded.
