It gives me great pleasure to Announce that the reconciliation and merger of the ANZACs and The Australian Republic is now Complete, NeverNever has signed all the merger Documentation and it has been Accepted by all those in the Australian Republic. The Documentation Signing was witnesed by many other Citizens of the Metaverse. It's like a who's who of the metaverse here tonight.

We still havn't decided on a flag but we are sure that we will come to a solution soon

It is a tremendous honour to be the emperor who has successfully inspired, negotiated and signed with the emperor of the Australian Republic this historic Document to bring the whole of Old Australia and NewZealand back together. {BlueSteel Shakes the Hand of Never Never for the press to take a photo)

Rare means the AI doesn't get as many systems, too. They may know where all the yellow stars are, but they can't get to them (range). I've found rare and common are the two easiest settings. I personally like Huge/Occasional or Huge/Uncommon.

Try logging off and then back on. I was having some issues with the Metaverse too, and this solved them for me.

Hmm being away for a day and the metaverse gets stuffed up... now I'm not sure to congratulate
you Cotal or not.

But by your constant words... precious... I'll say it now congrats Cotal you are number one whether the metaverse thinks so or not (the rankings list I mean).

On a side note if any of you guys happen by the 3D Maps thread... did I really appear worked up? am I in the wrong there?

I mean can I really have a decent conversation with someone who says "Now just bleed and get it over with for this month sunshine." seems a little bit out of place in these forums. Seems a bit low to me.

If I am wrong I apologise. I don't want to sully the ANZACs :( .

Thanks Stydracos seems the Metaverse is updating at long last . . . yeay! The Precious is a refference to the 'Ring of Power'/'First Place' which the Fellowship's custodian Ray held for so long . . .

I must check oyt the 3D Maps thread . . . I missed that whole discussion . . . :notsure:

Thanks ricbayer . . . I appreciate it, all you fellowship folks are such good sports. In all honesty I think Ray gave me a leg up when he posted on 'How to beat Maso' . . . I struggled for a long time with that . . . alot of other people helped too.

How in the world do you get everyone to get "close" and ally? I am lucky if I get one major AI to get close and I regularly bribe with IP or scouts or something. My last game I was getting nervous because one dipped to hostile and then barely came back to wary then cool. Whew. LOL.

I play good against all pure evil AI so might that spoil the fun? What do you set the AI at, default morality? or something else? Thanks.

Why should you be any different? :D

Ricbayer. As you said, it is much easier if you set the Aliens to the same marality as you, but your score will be lower.

At the lower levels, you can keep them sweet, by giving them one influence point every few turns.

Bluee has more experince than me at the higher levels.

I've just lost 3 gigantic maso's in a row.. guess my first one was a fluke..

As to how to get everyone close to you (I use default allignments) generally I need lots of influence,and I give them tribute of 1 point every 3 turns.. that is until they no longer increase in levels of friendship.. then I go to giving techs, then trade goods. The further mis-alligned they are to you the harder it is of course..

Blue, ricbayer . . . it's not too hard to get an alliance with most if not all the AIs befor Capital Ship come along if you persue diplomatic bonus techs (i.e. Diplomatic Translators, Advanced diplomacy, Instant Communications, Alliances, Xeno Intimidation etc . . . along with (but not necessarily) also building/manufacturing the Wonders/Trade Goods that go with them) . . . You see the AI tech tree is almost always millitarily orientated in the early game.

If your fortunate enough to get any of the highly valued millitary techs (form a minor etc) you're pretty much assured an easy alliance (especially disrubtors and battleships) . . .

oops, somehow I missed your post, Rick.

I'd say the opposite of Blue, actually. Occasional large gifts of tech, combined with trade, get you me up to close or at least friendly fairly quickly.

Well done LavaLampMaster, I must admit it took me a while befor I could get a win on normal too (truely - look at my record . . . shez . . . lol).

Vincible, I play 'Pure Good' against all evil alignments (some chaotic . . . all pure evil is real difficult?). I still take all the wicked colinization picks first up and try to crawl back to 'goodie too shoesness' from there . . . :notsure:

I used to find normal really challenging... its funny you don't notice but with each game you do actually get better.
