It gives me great pleasure to Announce that the reconciliation and merger of the ANZACs and The Australian Republic is now Complete, NeverNever has signed all the merger Documentation and it has been Accepted by all those in the Australian Republic. The Documentation Signing was witnesed by many other Citizens of the Metaverse. It's like a who's who of the metaverse here tonight.

We still havn't decided on a flag but we are sure that we will come to a solution soon

It is a tremendous honour to be the emperor who has successfully inspired, negotiated and signed with the emperor of the Australian Republic this historic Document to bring the whole of Old Australia and NewZealand back together. {BlueSteel Shakes the Hand of Never Never for the press to take a photo)

Seriously, dudes, just relax. Everything is cool. It's just a game. Bluesteel, you should admire Cotal. She proved women can do more then just cook and serve on men night and day (grin).

To Cotal - relax. For myself, I thank you - not for quiting on the ANZAC (hehe), but for being an inspiration and teaching me a few tricks about Maso play.

Late Breaking news from THE ANZAC Senette.. There has been a riot.. and the ANZAC Republic is no more .. The Emperor BlueSteel has decreed that due to the current situation he has been forced to bring in the military to restore order to his empire. this has come about due to the loss of the senetors from the Australian Republic. The rest of the Senete wanted to go back to their old days and ways of recruiting.. I argued against it but was out voted.. (silly thing this democracy.. people are just as likly to take a step backwards instead of forwards). Because of this our economic and production income has been drasticly reduced, along with our research budget. To make up for this shortfall it is my unfortunate duty as emperor to raise the taxes until such time as trade and attitudes change. A way to reduce these taxes is to increase the population of our great empire. We all must do our duty to encourage population growth, good will, prosperity to all newcomers to our empire. in short we need more recruits. With the loss of our minister of diplomatic relations and cultural awareness this isn't going to be an easy task.. She will indeed be missed. Strange thing however is that there has been a decrease in the need of beds in our hospitals... hmmm... (BlueSteel ponders... wonder if theres a connection). As for the disapearance of Admiral Cotal, nothing has been heard from her since her command ship entered that black hole.. lets hope that she is happy where ever she is.. there is still hope that one day she'll be found.

See? That is precisely the problem. People are so fixated on the kangaroo that they do not see the ANZACs coming. Now, personally, I ignore the "hopping rodents" and concentrate on sneaking into the back ranks to gather intelligence and appropriate a few goods along the way... It is never much though. They will hardly miss it. :D

if any more leave I'll have to consider folding the anzacs.. I'm definatly NOT going to try rebuilding them for a 4th time.. :( I know.. I know I don't want to see us go either..

I have to ask myself.. why are ppl leaving , comming back and leaving again repeatidly..

1. I'm no good as an emperor
2. no one cares enough..
3. ppl's sympathy and best wishes are fine.. but are they true feelings.. I think not.. if they were then they'd stay.

I need some solid input to see where we go from here.. If i'm not satisfied with the support or you guys/gals would like a new emperor then let me know.. I'll be only to happy to step aside if thats whats required to see the ANZACS succeed

I think the problem is that it is not big enough to challenge the top empires. That is, not enough Maso players, but too big for small players to feel they have any impact.

You are a great Emperor and definitely the driving force behind it.

It's supposed to disappear. But I know on two occasions where an emporer left and it did not. If you want to fold your empire, Kick all senators over to overlords, then kick them out of your empire, then lastly leave. It makes it easier for everyone to join anew if they wish.

And it's not from lack of heart or effort on your part that your empire keeps having people leave.
