Torians discovered an ALL POWERFUL Precrusor Item!

The Torians and Altarians are allies. I got a message saying the "Torians have discovered a Precusor item that will make them all powerful. You need to attack them now." I attacked the Torians and my income went from +50bc to -875bc even tho I had no trade with the Altarians and only 3 trade routes with the Torians.

I think the Altarians are sending me many Freighters tho.

I need to get the Altarians to break the alliance with the Torian.

Is it possible to get 2 Alien races who are allies to break their alliance? If so, how?

you can use the "declare war on xx" feild, but trust me its near on impossible without giving them a hell of a lot of things to make them agree.

also next time, you should check how much resources you gain from trade with them so you dont get left in the lurch so to speak.

You are not allowed to ask a civ to attack another civ it has 'warm' or better relations with.

What does this event do? I once had the Drengin have it... I never noticed what was meant by increadibly powerful! Finally they even surrendered to me and I was killed by the Alterians and the Yor...

I am wondering the same thing. Do they really continue to grow more powerful every day?

Thanks, so there is no way to get 2 Alien allies to break their alliance.

I read somewhere that it adds a bonus to one attribute of that civ every turn.

One other thing you could do is try to improve your relations with that civ to the point that you ally with them and go for an allied victory.

You can just crush one of the civs and render the whole point moot. Like we at GROSS are so fond of doing :) ANyway a stupid question. I tried to go for an alliance victory, there were two of us left, me and the Arceans (sp?). Anyway we had 'warm' or 'friendly' relations but I couldn't get the Alliance option to appear on the trade screen, even though we both had that tech researched. What was I doing wrong? I ended up winning a cultural victory a few turns later anyway.

Rob: An alliance requires "close" relations.

The event gives a specific player +1% to one random attribute. You can tell how powerful they are at the time by using Espionage at a Medium rating.
