I know that many will think that this post is out of place, but today is a day that changed human history forever. May God have mercy with those who died and those who were left behind by loved ones that were murdered in such a cowardly fashion. God Bless America.

Human history? Im not sure about that..amercian history perhaps.
My life is just as it was before except that our Foreign Minister was murdered on the 11 september (this thursday that is), quite a schock... Many tragic things have happend in this worlds history, sept 11 2001 was just one amounge many others.. I bet none of you remember what happend 11 september 1973.

And while we still are in some sort of patriotic stormwind - God Bless Sweden

Remember, there are a LOT of people in America and lots of them exaggerate. i'm not saying it wasn't terrible, of course.

Yup, it was terrible indeed, but as I said, many other things are less, the same or even more terrible than what happened at WTC. I think the reason why so many people think that this event was so much more terrible than anything else has mostly to do with media. If 10 000 people dies in Jugoslavia people might think.. "oh my" but not so much more.
The US has quite a media capability so many things that happend there is blown our of proption.

To you americans out there:
Im not trying to start some sort of Anti-Amercian thread here.. I promise. I´m just saying that we must remember that even more horrible things happen in our world quite often, the US is not the first country were a couple of thousand people die due to some maniacs actions.

OK. I encounter a fair number of "Americans are jingoistic burger-eating conquer monkeys" posts on various forums that I visit (not this one, obviously) so I'm probably a little overly sensitive to it.
