My score doesn't show

My scores just doesn't show on the multiverse. I played 2 games and submitted their scores about 10 times each just to be sure and they still don't show. Can someone tell me why or what to do? (My accountID=702179)

What did you type into the alias box in the submission screen?

The first time I typed "Pim", but since then, I had to change to "X-Pim". My last game, I had to change the nickname to X-Pim because by default it always put me Pim. With my second game, I never submitted with "Pim".

Ok, your current player name is Christian Ozoux. The alias box is actually asking for your player name. You can only submit a game under one player name (ie you can't resubmit under another). What you can do now is to go to the register page http://www.galciv.com/playerreg.asp and change your player name to Pim or X-Pim, then the respective games you have submitted under that name will show.

No worries. Just remember to use "Pim" from now on. As I mentioned, once a game is assigned a player name, it is unrevocable from our end.

Have fun. :)

Hello, I am having the same problem even when I thought I had fixed it. I have submitted four scores and still can not find my name on the board.

I did make the changes to my regisiter name as you recommended, but I still can not find my scores.

Can you see what I am doing wrong. I already went through and made sure my alasis was correct. It was not at first, but I am sure it is correct now.

Please help if possible.

Alasis name is : Load Marshal (:(

Captkrueger,

What is the alias that you have submitted your games under? Load Marshal?

The player name you have registered now is Celeborne.

Note that the player name is case sensitive. You also cannot resubmit a game under another player name/alias so you have to take the name you have submitted incorrectly at first.

Hello,

After I submitted my question, I read your emails three more times and found the answer. I am going to use Celeborne from now on.

Thanks for the answer.

Also, just a basic question concerning the empires.

What is the advantage of joining one? Do you play head to head, or is it just based on scores? This is the first time I have joined a group like this and I am still trying to learn what is going on.

Thanks in advance for helping this old guy who is a newbie.

No problems. Empires compete simply through comparing score totals of all its Overlords. There is no head to head or multiplayer in Galciv.

Other than the competition, it's the fun of belonging to a smaller community within the big Galciv one. Certain empires have distinct themes which you may find interesting. Look around, read their empire threads and join one that suit you.

U are most welcome to join the Fellowship, of course. :)

Basically is based in scores, some empires have in their own websites GOTM (Game of the month) like CDG empire, but basically is just score based.

Hello Ray,

Thanks for the invite and after all the help and reading, I decided to join the Fellowship. With a name of Celeborne where else could I go!!!

I just have one more small question, my score does show up but under "Captkrueger" not Celeborne. I would prefer that Celeborne be the way my scores are listed under.

Since I am still do not understand what I am doing wrong, can you advise me?

Thanks once more in advance and I look forward to learning how the Fellowship operates.

GangofMao,

1) What kind of connection are you using to link to the Internet?

2) What kind of message did you get after you click submit?

3) Are you using any ad-blockers, firewalls, anti-virus shields, etc?

4) Did you type GangofMao in the alias field in the right case (ie it's case-sensitive)?

5) Try resubmitting again. Load "endgamesave" which is one turn before your victory.

Everything seems fine to me.

Try disabling Zone-Alarm for your third submission. It shouldn't be a problem but no harm trying.

The score usually post almost immediately after submission.
Looks like it's still not working for you. :notsure:

The last two more unorthodox methods you can try:
1) Join an empire. I heard someone say before that their scores showed after they joined an empire.
2) Reinstall your game. Another player said his submission went through after he did that.

If these still doesn't work, you should go to Support. Send them an email at [email protected].

I do most of my posting at work (shhhh..) ;)
