Your saves shouldn't be lost but just to be safe, you can backup all the files in galciv/data/savegames.
Hope you get your scores posted soon.

Well, Ray, here I am with the same problem, more or less. I tried to submit scores from two games yesterday, one from this laptop computer and one from my home desktop computer. From here, I believe I entered "Hermann the Lombard" as the alias, and I just used wincustomize to confirm that nickname. I got a popup saying that the score was submitted successfully, but "search" on the Metaverse does not find any scores from "Hermann the Lombard".

From home I didn't get nearly as far. When the game ended (alliance victory), I did not get an option to submit a score. I thought that might have happened because I was not online at the time, so I launched my DSL app, leaving GalCiv open. No option to submit. So I closed GalCiv, relaunched it, loaded the EndGameSave, and clicked the "Turn" button. Button went to a red clock and never came back, though the app was apparently still responding.

I hate computers.

The game hanging on the first turn after a load is a known problem. Hopefully Brad and crew have got it squared away and the fix ready for the 1.11 patch Friday...

Good to know you are finally on the Metaverse. Did Cari say what the problem was?

I can see a Simple Small Cultural win submitted on 6 Oct in your player profile (click on your nickname hyperlink) but your overall score is still zero (not refreshed). I suggest joining an empire - that may refresh your score.

Little do I know of the Metaverse, and more likely am I to be found in the company of Arrowroot, Gimlet,
and Legolam than among the Riders of Roi-Tan...much less in the camp of Rohan.

OTOH, how can I argue with an empire based on angelfire, since I'm fond of the name and just recently drove the High Road to Taos along the Sangre de Christo, just across the ridge from Angelfire itself?

like she does...and i was fixed...lost first three games
but no big deal,i'm on now,and just started my first huge map,
rare planets,and random alien good/evil,i like surprises...lol

I play galciv at work on occasion, when I'm here really late. The flip side is of course that I'm often here really late.

I know a couple people from Hawaii. Great folks, except for their tendency to groan about how much they miss being at home every time the temperature drops below 50 degrees.

Well, an annoyed lampooner. Just finished a medium, normal military conquest. I had my internet connection open at the time. User name and email were correct. Submitted game. Got something like Error 1 Status 0 or some such. Reloaded the end game save. Re-won the game, and up came the proper user name and email. Clicked "submit" and got the same error. So far two of my three submissions failed. Phooey...which is not what I said, but it's what I will type here!

You have a medium normal submission in your profile for today. Is that the right game?

The message you get for successful submission is something like "send status 1, error status 0."

??? Yes, that would be the one.

When I posted from my laptop, I got the little guy in the fuzzy screen and a message "Game Submitted Successfully" or some such. The message "send status 1, error status 0" isn't exactly user friendly, is it? Also, I got that message for both submission attempts yesterday; presumably one succeeded, one failed. Confuzerating!!! (Thanks, vincible!)

There is not an error the message send status 1, error status zero means that the game was sent sucesfully, so no need for reload and send it again.

I used to get "game submitted succesfully" too. I think the X-pack is to blame.

I am hoping 1.11 will give us a return of the "Game Submitted Successfully" message.
