How many systems?????

Hi me again.

Is it possible with the new version to edit the number of systems avialable that planets can be in? (like in SEIV)if so how do you change??? and what is the current maximum of systems allowed.

In the 1.10 version gigantic map 28x28 means there are now a hell of a lot of empty sectors (a bit to many IMHO) that could av a few more stars in them.

Sorry to keep asking these damn questions :d

Ask away, Drew.

The number of systems is not a variable that you can change in the game.
What we can choose is just scattered, loose and tight clusters.

I wouldn't recommend playing at Gigantic at first. A Small or Medium map might be more manageable
while you learn the game.

Yes i know all we can choose is Gigantic etc, what i mean is in the code , to change number of systems , for exmample from 100 to 200 as a mod...

I understand that it's hardcoded but this is out of my depth.
Check with the modders in the Mod forum.

There's no way to alter that. I don't think the stars files have been analysed (last I checked, they were not).
Actually, the save game files seem to have some sort of redundancy. It's easy to find out where the star names are, but adding a star may need tweaking several files (one for stars, one for planets). As I said, I don't think this has been hacked. This is why a map editor would be welcome.

Well this is off topic,but anyway...My first game which I finished was on gigantic map and think it was great for learning because you have so much "space" to get into different situations.Of course the downside is that it takes a lot of patience,but hey,it takes patience to learn things.

And one,me too, should remember that people learn in different ways.For me the best method was -GIGANTIC- ;)
