I think this may have to do with a game submitted either ^ that one about or the one before it was refusing to show up after the first submit (it had submitted successfully by the message), so I resubmitted and it turned up. Didn't notice the count thing though.

Oh well at least I'm an (rear)admiral now thanks for the welcome! :D

I think that the metaverse calculator is a bit broken at the moment. Ranks (and things related to player profile) seem to be being processed, but nothing else. (I suspect cotal should have overtaken Ray at the top for example)

Interesting Requirements.

It's theoretically possible to hit the score requirement for admiral and still be a commodore because of the game requirement.

Yes - there are a lot of people in that position; you also need to update the metaverse by submitting a game to get the system to update you! (Even more people like that - EBZeroMatrix is an example, he ought to be a VA, but hasn't submitted a game since the new ranks became available!)

You are also a case in point - your PP score is over 100k - sufficient for Vice-Admiral, but you only have 19 games, hence hold the rank of Fleet Captain. When you submit your next game, you'll make Commodore, but you'll then still need another 10 games for Rear Admiral. That said, you could submit a few small cakewalk games, getting a few points for each, and as long as the "square root" divisor doesn't catch you, get promoted pretty quickly....

I could.... but then I'd watch my overall score plumment, not to mention dropping tremendously from my current number 2 in average position.

I'll just be patient and continue with my current strategy I think :)
