Technological Victory disabled?

This is the second time i had the same problem. I researched final frontier and the game didnt end. I checked that the tech victory was enabled and no other race even had master race^1).

Has anybody ever achieved a tech victory with the german version?

1) In the german game beyond human is named master race and master race is named beyond human.
