Metaverse Scoring

Did I make a mistake in submitting my early "lose" games? Will by Metaverse score now always be adversally affected by 2 lost games? Can I delete them?

Oh and is there a cuddly empire that just likes to get along with aliens and win cooperatively? :)

Your scoring will be affected by your early losses, I know because I made the same mistake. :notsure: However their influence will diminish over time as your games submitted more than 30 days ago will count for less when calculating your overall score.

Your'e always welcome in our empire, the European Alliance. If your'e looking for a do-gooder empire I suppose I have to be honest and point you towards the Pangaea Cooperative.

Submitting loses are not really a problem. You are affected slightly but don't worry too much about it. No, you can't delete games.

Don't really think there is such a cuddly empire but I guess the PanGaea Cooperative comes closest with their policy of converting aliens through party palaces.

You are most welcome to join the Fellowship though. :)

Thanks Guys

The Pangea Cooperative it is then. Where we can all live in snuggly harmony as long as humans have the Terror stars.

I love making Kittens purr.

It's easy to leave those namby pamby do gooders and join a real mans outfit.

Kevin,
your metaverse score is broken in monthly submissions with the score for each month being the summation of scores over that month divided by the square root of the number of games. This means that for the first month those two losses will reduce your score (because of 2 extra games played) but after the first month of playing they will have no further adverse effect on your scoring.

Your score is therefore (roughly)

(107+122+4170+5864+4541)/SQRT(5) + (4541+3248+3308+3540+3943+3650)/SQRT(6) = 13842 ish

without the 2 losses the score would be

(4170+5864+4541)/SQRT(3) + (4541+3248+3308+3540+3943+3650)/SQRT(6) = 15636 ish

over time the score from the previous monthly are degraded so that those losses will have less and less of an effect.

paul.

Incidentally, the profile scores appear to be "blocked" in 31 day blocks. I'm not quite sure (yet) how the profile score relates to the metaverse score....

Thanks again. When I worked out what I thought the calculation must be it didn't have such subtlety! Now I just have to work out why I'm scoring less in each game and then I can take over the Metaverse! mwahahaha LOL

Does anyone know whether this formula is counted per calendar months or from the point when you first submitted?
