I don't know really - you want to keep the humour and patience you showed for so long in being a one-player empire and make sure people are aware of this history. How to do this, I'm not sure, though.

Being a one player empire for ages may have seemed unlucky to some, but things turned out pretty well later. So while currently being ranked at #13 on the empire list might seem unlucky as well, perhaps "unlucky" 13 can be used in your favor. Think of ways to harnass the power of 13. Odd is good!

They don't seem as willing to 'empty the barracks' when you get them involved in a war. I used to park transports and frigates near planets and wait for all the dreadnaughts to leave orbit - doesn't seem to happen as much any more (at least in the 2 games I lost last night).

The Aldarian Calendar
April 7 – Aldarian New Year’s. This date celebrates the date that the Kingdom of Aldar was founded. This is a very solemn date for Aldarians and is marked by quiet reflection. Kidding. It is celebrated by drinking heavily and behaving badly.

October 31 - Republic Day. Commemorates the date the Aldarians converted their government from a Kingdom to a Republic. This holiday is celebrated by wearing disguises, drinking heavily, and behaving badly.

Kelly Harvey, arlblaster, Space Napoleon, and jbibler: Please pick a date and make up a holiday for the Aldarian Calendar.
