Newest Patch - can you get it anywhere else?

I recently bought a used copy of GC form Ebay, and the previous owner registered it, so I am not able to now register it to get the latest patch. My purchase was a legitimate one and not a Warez copy, so any advice on how to get the patch (with expanded universe)..... someone can even email it to me

At least you aren't begging for help with reregistering the copy (which SD will not do).

The patch is the first thing under the downloads link at the left...

Galactic Civilizations really is a game you should not buy used. Your only chance is to get help from the last owner of the game or buy it new. Stardock probably won't help you.

Maybe you should e-mail stardock and explain your case and maybe they somehow will let you download the expansion pack. I think that if you e-mail them they could help you.

Doubtful, since the license seems to prohibit resale...

Really though, if you want GalCiv, buy it new. It's a great game and stardock really deserves the money for their hard work (and whoever sold it to you is either insane or just a bastard who burned a copy to keep and sold the original)...

Anyways, if you can't use the game to your satisfaction, your best bet is to file a complaint against the seller on eBay. There's just not much else to be done about it.

You need to know the email address of who registered it. If you bought it from someone on eBay, try contacting him/her to find out what that was.

With the email address and serial number you should be able to download the patch, unless the serial number has been banned or something.
