right, what i wanted to know was what the AI bit ment. and how do you get your new tech to be displayed on the tech tree? thanks for your help in advanced

The AI field assigns a value to the tech. This is how the AI judges the importance of researching the tech and also determines what the AI will want in return for trading the tech. As long as your new tech follows the correct format and has a unique tech name and number, it will show up in the tech tree. There should be a thread about .TECH (and other) file modding from Boogie_Bac on the server here somewhere.
