What is the fastest and best way to get out of debt. I managed to find myself thousands of dollars in debt, the only think I could figure was increase tax to the best output and wait it out. Is there anything faster?

Also, you could try scrapping buildings or ships. IIRC, you need to be in the details portion of the planet display to scrap them.

Sell the ships, don't scrap them.
