Disappearing ship icons

Does anyone else experience a bug where the icon of certain ships disappears? It cannot be seen from either the ship-building screen nor on the main map. Does any know what causes the problem and what is a fix?

The reason is unknown, but this is a long-standing bug that has yet to be quashed. All you need to do to get the ships back is save, quit, restart, and reload.

Unfortunatly, reloading the save also re-set accumulated culture points (just to keep it in mind). If i notice invisible ships moving around, I won't reload is I am in the process of culture flipping a system or two (or 3 or 4).

It's not that big a deal though (the culture reset). Things go back to normal within maybe a couple extra months.

It is called the "Bermuda Triangle" once your ships enter on it, it dropps out of sight, no radar, no communication no nothing!!!!!
