Firefox skinning problem

Hi everyone,

I've installed Mozilla Firefox and it doesn't seem to work correctly with WindowsBlinds...

When I skin this program the page shifts up and down a little (a few millimeters) constantly, which is VERY irritating ofcourse! I'm also running WindowsFX, so I thought it what that, because Firefox seems to want to make the page bigger, but then it's being shrinked again (that what it looks like). So I've unloaded WindowsFX but that didn't seem to help. I've excluded Firefox completely in WindowsBlinds now, so it doesn't skin the program at all: it ignores it. And the shifting problem doesn't occur anymore. But since I'm running the Mac OSX white theme with all buttons on the left, it's sad to see Firefox in the normal, unskinned lay-out.

Does anyone know how to solve this???

Please help!

Does the problem happen with all the skins you try or just the Mac OSX skin. I only ask because I use Firefox and Windowblinds and haven't had any problems. I use the Phoenity Theme with Firefox which only skins the tool bars and Windowblinds skins every thing else.
Second question, are you using the free version of Wblinds or the Full version?

I have had no issues either with FF and Windowblinds. I have used several different FF skins with no issues as well as used FF with different WB skins. Definitely might be an issue with the Mac OSX skin, or perhaps there is an FF extension that you are using that is interfering in some way.

It seems to happen with all the themes. But mostly if the page has a graphic at the top.

I'm using the full version of WindowsBlinds. Could it be a combination of Windows XP Home SP2 perhaps????

It sometimes happens here too. It's a bug in the Firefox GUI Toolkit.

If you think about it, Firefox has a theme option. So it wasn't entended to be skinned by windowsblind. The skins that the people make for the program should be what you should see. If you let windowblinds skin it, all you are mostly getting will be the icons. Yes, some of the themes aren't fully skinned, I do know that. Unlike those, the one that I'll be posting here hopefully today is fully skinned and doesn't like windowblinds, it looks nasty with the one blind I had loaded.

That's my 2cents

It's actually not WindowBlinds, but it's Firefox's built in skinning engine. If you load a skin that was built for a previous version of the browser, then sometimes it "bounces." This used to happen to me for Phoenity Modern and some other skins.
