Videoglitches and chrashes

1. Game chrashes after push the buttom end turn (at random).
Even with the latest update.
2. Monitordisplay turns black after switching between screenmodes and/or pictures and/or displays...(also it happens at random).I must putt the buttom off then on to turn the monitor on.Also its shows a very chrasy blurry snowwy display and must also on this way turn the monitor off and then on to turn it to normal again!
Latest videosoftware and dirextx are installed!
This problem is the first problem I ever encountered since I played on the 286 PC....thats over hundreds,maybe tousends of games I played.Call a proffesor on this matter.....its very strange and annoying!
