I haven't played any more gigantics since 1.10 but I've got five medium/large masos in already... doesn't seem any harder than 1.10 to me... :notsure:

hmmm.... I've found that they go to war with me a hell of a lot quicker :( and its harder to get peace back.. :(

I've noticed that too, but it's nothing diligent trade and bribery couldn't handle...

Have to second kryo on this...does not seem any significant difference to me yet (although limited experience on 1.11) - but I play small maps; may be tougher on the large ones where the minors will expand more aggresively.

If anything, I'm noting that majors in my current game will actually offer you money in trade...early in the game. They're quick to say that they don't want to take on more debt, though.

From what I've been hearing about minors expanding, it sounds like I'm working on a "throwback" game. Medium map, and both of the minors I've met so far are pinned in one star system. That's bound to make life a bit easier.

I've finished my first maso-gig on 1.11 and already working on the next. The only problem so far seems to be the minors grab quite a few systems early on. On my last game the Torians conquered nearly everyone because they had a huge cluster of stars, but everyone surrendered to me so I've managed to build up and eventually terror-star alpha-strike them. My first pure 60k result (the others were 59-59.5k).

I don't think 1.11 is any harder than 1.10 on maso. There are so many variables built into each game that the unique events flavor the game more than the version number. The scoring, however, is higher in 1.11. For those having troubles with maso, the strategy section of the forum is the place to look under the maso strategy thread started by Ray. We maso players continue to update that thread regularly. Good luck. :)

Maso is more interesting to play, but I don't see any increase in difficulty.

I love the feedback races give now! Finally they tell me things!

AAAARGH! Anomalous 1.11 Maso! I've never had an anomalous before, even on the lower difficulties. >:(

Wouldn't be so disappointing except that it takes me days to finish a game - even on a medium map.
