What is a Military Swap for?

New to the game and im still in the learning stage right now. But What does the Military swap do? I dont get what the purpose of its suppose to mean? Both list have the same exaxt names in it for all the ships?

Whats it do. I did a search on this board and came up negative. :(

And the manual doesnt have anything about it where I think it should be with the governors. Help.

It switches production from the military unit you designate on all planets producing that unit, to the new military unit you designate.

Ie: if you discover Dreadnoughts and were producing Battleships you would want to use the swap to swap out your battleship production for dreadnought production.
It saves you from having to go to every single planet to change it when a type of unit becomes obsolete.

Military swap make all of your planets building the ship that you select from the first list change production to the ship that you select from the second list.

Barely beat me, Pontius :D

By the way I see you are empireless. Would you like to join us Pirates?

Click on Metaverse, then click on our empire, and click join. It's as easy as 1, 2, 3.

The military swap allows for you to change one clas of ship for another all in one go, rather than having to change it on each planet...

Lets say you have a colony with 15 plantes all building Death Knights, then when you finish researching Dreadnoughts you can use the Military Swap to change from Death knights to Dreadnoughts and all 15 planets will then be building Dreadnoughts

It is particularly useful when the 'colonization' phase ends and you want to switch from building colony ships to constructors.
