Scars

Hmm, may be a bit awkward...but it was an idea...I hope it seems alright...

Be they from battle,
Or from the loving heart,
They lay twisted and broken,
Across the skin and the mind.

The pain of the initial wound screams through your mind,
A burning, bleeding gash or tear.
Tears well up then subside,
As you grow accustomed to the pain.
From struggles of physical might,
Or from the battles of emotion.
As small as a pin prick,
Or as gaping as the ocean.
Jagged edges or one smooth cut,
Deep into flesh,
Or only the skin.

Time makes them heal,
The pain resides,
But a reminder remains,
A lesson you’ve learned,
And it would do you well to remember,
Lest you be scarred once more.

pain does have that annoying, lasting effect. (affect? can never keep em straight)
and the more it hurts, the deeper the scars get, the longer lasting of the effect.
they multiply, and multiply, and eventually it seems they take over your soul... the sorrow, the misery, the pain, the agony.
we need to learn from mistakes.

hmm... i think i basically just said what you put in the poem! grrness... oh well... I love You and this poem is awesome.

Great article, Zoo!
