minor races

hii
its another of my suggestions!
(although the other ones did not get many replies....)

in a medium galaxy the number of minors is very limited.
and since the game seems to put them into a session in a row u alway get the same first.
alexians, carinoids,...
honestly i cant even remember anyone besides this two exept i league, and fundamentalists....

so how about changing the game that it randomly takes any of the normal minor races??!

Ginata, your vibes reached Paris ;)

Therlun,
I play mostly medium games. They've all started with Carinoids & Alexians already present. In some of them, I have the fundie & I-league events. In all cases, more or less in mid-game (I don't remember a specific date, but I always seems like it is about the same moment in the development of my game) I have new minors popping up all over the place (right now I only remember the Sandorians). I usually get 3, sometimes 4 of them. But when they arrive that late in the game, although they have almost all the techs available, they cannot defend themselves against the majors. So in order to limit the expansion of potential ennemies, I promptly invade them, as soon as they appear (when they are close to me). When I can I also protect Alexians & Cari, since they usually have ships to defend themselves a bit, and only need help from time to time). This way, as majors disappears, I still have some stable trade partners.

So I guess, yes, more variety would be nice. But also right now, only the carinoids can really survive in this game. Maybe the minors should be allied to one another? Or maybe not make a galactic wide announcement saying, "Hey, you bullies, we're here, undefended, c'on and crush us!". Maybe they could just tell the closest major and stablish all their trade with that one, so it won't invade them right way. Or appear on the minimap (and thus we have the announcement) only when the colony has reached a certain size. After all, these planets were not habitable in the first place, so there was no reason to keep monitoring them. How come we know they're there (except because they tell us, in some kind of global death wish)?

Keep on with the good vibes Ginata.
Vibes from the metaverse best, and pure good, can only feel good. :)

I've just checked my atlas, and indeed earth is flat. But from what I've seen, it is 4 fold. Maybe that's why your vibes where misdirected...
