Life is Not a Movie
A poem...makes sense if you read it...perhaps some knock some sense into my peers.

Life is not like the movies,
No devious plot with the support of endless evil armies.
Just simple and plain,
But dramatic all the same.
With friends turning against one another,
Ready to backstab even their own brother.
No paychecks for reality,
Only poor attempts at chivalry.
Arguments over boyfriends,
Leads to meaningless wars between girlfriends.
What’s with all the fighting?
Surely you’d rather be righting,
The wrongs which you’ve supported,
And help the people you’ve shorted.
There’s no Prince Charming,
Or the perfect girl disarming,
One who fawns over her.
Life is but a blur,
Not like the movies make you see,
But life is filled with rivalry.
No aliens or secret agents,
No organization bent on wild tangents,
But drama reigns supreme,
Though life is a fleeting dream.
If only people could realize,
That life is not like the movies that pass before our eyes.
