OT: Schwarzschild V

Was looking around at recent Japanese games that were released, and stumbled upon this. It's an old series (since 10 years ago), and this is the 5th game I guess.

It's also a turn-based space strategy game. The link to the site is http://www.kogado.com/html/kuma/sch5/index.htm and some screenshots at http://www.4gamer.net/store/shots/sch/index.html

The way they implemented their battles is interesting. Seems to allow for epic thousand ship battles without much fuss. It also incorporates the usage of leaders in their battles.

An interesting thing in the game is that besides money, there's another unit called resources which you can buy and sell. Probably used for ship building or supply during war.

Just some ideas of how other people have approached the genre in other parts of the world that could be incorporated in a GalCiv2, although its design might be better suited to the MOO series (the ability to develop different weapons and individual ship types). :)
