Tim

I occasionally get emails from Tim, not addressed directly to me, but always mass emails to "everyone he cares for." (He was my supervisor for a while at Lucent. And all the gals were in agreement that he ought not to be single. Maybe he's married now. I wonder.) Yesterday he sent an email that indicated indirectly that his mom passed away, and he's sorry for having been so distant lately. He communicated his mother's passing through a poem that most of us have gotten as a forward at one time or another. ~The one about the little girl who goes to school without her father on a "Bring your Daddy to school day." So people were whispering in low tones things like, "Oh, another Dad who had someplace better to be than spend time with his daughter." But then the daughter stands up and poetically says that my daddy is always with me in my heart. He's in Heaven now.~ That's how Tim keeps in touch. Never uses words of his own because poems and quotes say it so much better.
