What are the cheat codes, I do not see them listed? :)

I did a search on "cheat" and here is what I found. You need to enable the cheat codes on the left side of menu screen (where you load and save games). I copied and pasted this below to MS Word so the spell checker corrected a couple of words otherwise it is as per Citizen Elden. I know the control-U works but I haven't used the others. Hope it helps. :)

They were added in the expansion pack that was free to download with the patches. If you use them you cannot submit that game to the Metaverse.

The codes are:

CTRL A - Adds hit points, move points, attack points and defense points to selected ship.

CTRL B - Creates a battleship at the cursor.

CTRL C - Copies the selected ship.

CTRL E - Decreases morality.

CTRL G - Increases morality.

CTRL H - Heals selected ship and restores it's movement.

CTRL J - All human planets complete their military and social projects instantly.

CTRL L - Assigns all inhabitable planets and resources to the major races.

CTRL M - Adds 1000 bc

CTRL O - Creates an anomaly at cursor (sometimes doesn't work, sometimes does)

CTRL P - Vastly increases the class of all planets in selected star.

CTRL S - finish research on current tech instantly.

CTRL SHIFT S - All techs except for final frontier are fully researched instantly.

CTRL T - Teleports selected ship to cursor.

CTRL U - Clears the fog of war.

CTRL V - Creates random ship at cursor.

CTRL Y - Creates colony ship at cursor.

I looked at the screen. The menu button is on the top in the middle of the game screen. If you hit the menu button, you go to the options screen that also tells the version number. I think the cheat codes came with version 1.10 or 1.11. The off/on button for the cheat codes is on the lower left of the options screen. Once you enable cheat codes, go back to the game and type in the cheat code to see what happens. :D

CTRL J - All human planets complete their military and social projects instantly. <- OK for testing

CTRL L - Assigns all inhabitable planets and resources to the major races. <- nice one

CTRL SHIFT S - All techs except for final frontier are fully researched instantly. <- If i could do the same for the AIs it would be useful but the way it is, it's only good for testing...

CTRL U - Clears the fog of war. <- OK for testing if it would not have to be redone every turn

All the other cheats are mostly useless junk and really good ones are missing!

Where is a cheat to kill a civ?
Where is a cheat to change your civ with another?
Where is a cheat to let your empire be played by the AI?
Where is a cheat to make all enemies to ally up and declare total war on you?

That are things that would at least make some sense!

But things like CTRL-Y: create random ship at cursor position... Really, really useless junk!

Cheat codes generally are more useful to the developers who programmed them, because the developers use them to test. :)

I would like VERY MUCH!!!!!!!!!!! some "cheats" to change some things on the AIs side, e.g. the difficulty INgame (like, OK the my best but only "bright" opponent is so far behind me, its really no fun anymore, so what about making him better then me and then try to beat him as long as I have more advantage?
And some way to make smaller civs surrender to some AI player of my choice.
It would be a great game feature. Maybe (*dream*...) that and a way to keep the scoring going.

There were a couple of people who got caught by an audit of the top scores and removed but everyone else in the top 25 legitimately earned their scores. I can personally attest to the fact that its possible with hard work over many months to get high scores. :)

Hi Dave,

you have played a handfull games and already know that the scores are "rediculous" and "There has to be some cheating going on!".

The score limit is 60k. You automatically get 60k when you win on a gigantic map after Jan 2190. Technician and some others showed us how to get an alliance win in about 1 hours.

I did never achieved that simply because I did not have fun when I tried to do so. My games last about 20-50 hours. But I know that it is possible to win in less than 1 hour.
