Ah, Valentine's Day again...

Love is in the air...ah...such a sweet fragrance.

Valentine's Day yet again. A time of expressing love and buying several little trinkets for your significant other. A time for young couples to be romantic and discover eachother. A time for older ones to still acknowlege their love. A time for singles to yearn for someone...even if they say they don't.

No one wants to be alone, it is usually not by choice. Having someone to talk to about the most personal of things, having someone to comfort you and someone you can comfort also. This can be a beautiful day or a very depressing time for one who has no one. So much love in the air, so many people celebrating the love they share, and others just waiting for it to pass.

For me, Valentine's Day is just another day. Another day with people acting strange and me, wondering what it would be like to just participate for a bit. Alas, I have no significant other for Valentine's Day. Is it a blessing or a curse? I suppose it depends on what side of the fence you're on. Well, here's to all of us that don't have anyone to shop for on Valentine's Day....may we find someone next year!

ah, valentine's day, a day to crawl under a blanket and hope the world just goes away, at least until tomorrow

Valentine's day is kinda overrated when you're single, but a wonderful day if you are part of a couple.

For all the coupled people, happy Valentines Day!

For all the singles out there: The 15th is Single's Appreciation Day, so go out and buy yourself some candy and roses!

Peace,

Happy Valentine's to you guys. Well if this can make you feel better zoo, at least you dont have to deal with a girlfriend who's complaining you bought her chocolate instead of the earrings she saw last time, and that chocolate makes her bum even bigger, and dont you think her bum is big, and is that all the money you'd spend on her, a lousy box of chocolates etc, etc, etc....

So yep, happy Valentine's y'all

V-Day sucks for me, and I'm part of a couple. This will be the second year in a row my husband has been away from home on V-Day, and it about makes me sick to watch people get all lovey dovey and kissy smoochy when I can't do that.

It's all so commercialised now too. I'm sorry, but I think that over $100 for a bunch of flowers is simply outrageous. I told my husband not to bother....that I'd rather he spent the $100 on something more permanent like jewellry (we'll see if he paid attention to that - if I don't get flowers tomorrow I'll know he smelled what I was shovelling).

Personally I don't need a special day to show the world that I love my D...I can do that any time I want to.

island_gurl, if I had a girlfriend like that, I don't think I'd hang on for her long enough to celebrate President's Day together! That'd get really lame, REALLY fast.
