The new site looks great. Runs much faster now without the moving images. Great!

The feedback box bugs me. It wants me to enter a name, e-mail address then wants to know information like server name, POP3 information and other things. Here is a comment I wanted to send but decided not to bother on the site.

A suggestion:
On your Install Info page you might want to explain to people how to extract a zip file into the correct directory/folder if they did not install their game into the default directory. Also could you please place a link to download WinRAR so people can use that to extract. rar files if they are compressed by that format. Thanks very much.

Thanks.

Hut101 - please visit the mods site now and look at the install info section :) thanks for insight.
if you feel like a change of scenery i have founded the Mod Masters empire for mod users. look into the website ->http://modmasters.galciv.org or empire page at galciv ->http://www.galciv.com/metaverse/empires.asp?id=687

thanks again

Thanks for the link added to the install info section. As for the empire, I am a loyal member of the CDG empire even though I don't play the game anymore because of "computer problems", long story, now I just make mods and help other people. I was wondering if you could add a link to the CDG forum in your links section. Just a request. Thanks again for the quick response.

I don't have a graphic as yet but I will come up with one in a day or two depending on what I have to do and then I will send it to you. As for all the mods we have on the CDG GalCiv forums. We were planning on having our own download section and we were going to hold ALL galciv mods but that does not seem to have happened. As soon as I get time I will send you a copy of all the mods on the forum to you.

Also another suggestion is to inform people who download mods on your site whether or not the mod has been tested and if there are any problems with it. If there is a problem, attach a short list of instructions on how to fix it.

Thanks.

all mods on site have been checked for viability. if any problems then either returned to sender with prob info or if its slight then ammended. :)
obviously sometimes i do miss something at which point any issue reported to me is dealt with asap. great idea though. may impliment someting like that as it would reduce the workload a hell of a lot.

I only say that because we came up with the issue, do we edit some one elses work and in the end we might have to change it (Events were mainly the problem. Some people would make an event but the way they set it up, they would make a bonus for the good choice on purpose but of course you can't do that. They just didn't realize that.) So do we fix the event and make it negative but of course doing so would change the purpose of the event all together. So we left the issue in the air and just hoped the maker would fix it themselves. If we couldn't get in contact with the maker we would just leave a post telling others how to change it themselves.

Also, another idea.......... you could include a version system. Either by the version number or last updated so people could see if they have the latest one. Just some ideas for createing a large user friendly database for all GalCiv mods. If you need any help just ask. I should have the image done in an hour or so.

Great job and thanks. It's great to find one single site to find all mods on it.

HEY! The temp link you have is the exact background I am using for the actual background for the button I am making. :D :D

not sure how to go about creating the version system. package im using to create site is pretty basic. thats why i put the date on the end of the mod and new ones from noe will have graphic placed beside them for seven days when they are updated or new ones submitted. could include version no in info text or mod description i suppose!

hahahaha funny about the graphics :D

speak to you soon. now time here 02:45 and got start work at 08:00 :sniff!: best hit the bed for couple of hours i guess.

Talk to you later. For the version system just add a little text that says the time it was added to your site, and then something like:
Updated on: ______
Leave it black if not updated or the date when you updated the file.
