Beatitudes for Single People

Somehow, I find the following article really amusing. Hehe! Let's just console ourselves with the perks of being single. Maybe I don't really get tired of dating that's why we're still single.
Beatitudes for Single People
1. Blessed are the singles, for theirs alone is their income.
2. Blessed are those who are detached, they can go where they please, when they please.
3. Blessed are the non-couples, they shall inherit no one else's problems but their own.
4. Blessed are the uncommitted, they have no phone calls to wait for.
5. Blessed are those who do not thirst for companionship, they do not have to share the remote.
6. Blessed are the purely unattached, for they will see what they want in the shops and go buy it without any thought as to whether their mate will approve of the purchase. In other words, they can indulge without guilt.
7. Blessed are those who are persecuted when valentine's day rolls in, they do not need some stupid special day declared to remind them that they are happy in their present state.
8. Blessed are you when couples walk by arm in arm on a rainy day, you're not getting wet, they are. (I mean, try squeezing two people under a small umbrella!)
Well, another thing, if you have read this nice essay about "The One That Got Away," I would have already provided you an answer. hehe!!! Used to be commitment-phobic, but then I realized taking risk, no matter how serious it'd get, is a part of life. Unless I embrace that reality, I'd be single for life I guess. lol! Just when I thought I was ready to commit myself to what could have been a real, great relationship, I'd still see myself detached from anybody. Was I giving mixed signals? I dunno. I'm not very expressive, even to those who are close to me. For now, it's taking things slowly but surely. Being single is FUN though...still, there's some wishful thinking on the side! we can't deny that, can we? ahehehe!!! Peace out!
