a guy like me, only in a nation like this,
red and blue flashing lit starvation dismissed,
breathless breathing,
barely receiving,
an end to the regularity of deceiving,
rarity in finding anything worth believing,
I'm guiding a ship into port with my high beams,
who keep creepin' up behind me to choke me with my hoodie's strings,
hold tight and pluck them with gentle suffering,
spring into action,
with a revolt led by repeating fractions,
run around the track son,
thus begun, when defeat sat at the head of my table,
I've had one hand to take life away and one hand to rock the cradle...of civilization,
to make such reparations,
I prepare for my preparations,
elation by being scared near to death,
and we're so close now without it it's a wonder I ever slept,
cuddled up in warmth with an unquestioned fate,
that I exchanged for the promise of repression and hate,
still I care little,
for the pain I've fought so dearly to feel,
every meal that goes uneaten,
is a hunger I earned,
like a match struck colliding with leaking fuel from a mack truck on the highway overturned,
flame...the cure-all for every mess I've created,
it's intentional that I'm leaving dignity and consciousness separated,
if I find myself in my notebook realizing the power of my infinite decisions,
I pray that all my wandering never suggest but never require a need for revision.
