Archiving

I have read in other posts about archiving the current copy using Stardock Central....what is this process and is it something that will create a file that could be burned to cd so I would not have to download the patches again if I had to reinstall? Thanks.

If you right-click GalCiv in Stardock Central, you should get a menu that includes an 'archive/restore' submenu. In that menu you can choose to archive the selected application, or archive selected app and extra files. I'm not sure what the difference is, but I usually choose +extra files. It takes a couple minutes to get it done, but then you're left with a .zip file in the backup subdirectory of Stardock Central that you can burn off to CD and later restore using 'restore existing' from the File menu. :)

Excellent! Thank you very much. I am on dial-up so I would like to have a back-up should something go wrong.
