I want to create a wallpaper clock- how?

I want to create a desktop wallpaper clock, a big digital clock i can see across the room.

What I have found offered at varius sites is NOT my thing. I like contemporary, alien, unusual stuff, and I think I could do a damn good job of it, but where does one get started? I've no clue what software I would need, but it would need to be Adobe Photoshop compatible, windows xp.

Please someone point me in the right direction!!!

thank you!

You could create a widget that takes up all the screen space. There are several clock widgets in the library you could use as a reference. It sounds to me like you want to use it from across the room so maybe a screen saver clock would be better suited. You might want to try Link this site and build your own screen saver.

Doesn't XP already have a screensaver clock?

Take a look inside one. Download it 'save', change to zip and explore. just pngs and scripts.
Shouldn't need any software other than what you have. Adobe to png. Make it as big and otherwordly as you want. If it turns out cool, please post it.

For other than the png... see Link

oh boy, you are all trying to be so helpful, thank you! but take the 'no clue' part literally- I have no idea what you mean when you say widget-LOL!!- makes me think of mouse running across screen. and is script like?- I haven't written anything since basic was around. so have mercy and translate into english for this poor ignorant girl! I like the ideas you're giving me, i just need a better grasp of understanding what you mean.
