Empire of Light recruiting campaign.

Empire of Light recruiting campaign.

The time have come for the Old Jedi Master to walk his own path. The Dark Side tried in vain to pull me down into the nets of the evil darkness. My friend and partner saw my struggle and with wisdom only found in a true friend, advised me to take the time to meditate in "The Light".

The truth was revealed to me, it is time to begin a new path, a path towards enligthment, the path toward the "Pure Light" of the good side.

Soi if you are one of those called by "The Light" to find the true path towards your growth as a "Master of The Light" come and join my empire.

Only true seekers of "The Light" will be allowed

Alignment= Neutral-Pure Good
No evil players will be permited in this empire.

So if you feel the desire to play constantly, day or night, even if your wife, mother, girlfriend or school teacher nags you into stop playing the game, but you feel that you must defeat the evil of this galaxy, this is your empire, come and join us in the quest for the absolutely perfection, the search for the meaning of life, the goal of etenity "The True Light" that will change the world and every planet in this Universe. ;)

I like it, but how does it represent the empire? I guess the real question is, what is it?

On a completely unrelated note, I did a little analysis of your progress over the last couple of weeks. I calculated how many points behind Apolyton you were on 12/26, 12/31, and today. Here's the results:

12/26--169,353
12/31--164,089
1/11--163,097

I'm not trying to be negative, but that's really slow going. (I say that with a grin because on 1/31, I'll be joining you--adding, I hope, about 100,000 pts to your {our} empire score. That ought to surprise them.)

I have decided that I will officially join you. I just have to stick to my original resolution and wait until the end of this month. I may not quite be rear admiral at that point, but it will be close enough.

By the way, Seeker, if you have that as the empire logo, do you really want it for the most games submitted award as well? Did you like the change I made to my 'cheesegrater'?

ahh. here's to the end of a very productive weekend. and dose anybody notice that the player scores in the empire screen, and the player's scores in the player ranking are different?
Yes, usually the scores in the player list are higher than those in the empire, don't ask me why, I have the same question. Amulekbird, we both submitted the medals at the same time, I like yours more, mine I just put it there to see how will look and then I decide to change our logo. The new logo is a smug shot of the Dominion ID in the Deep Space 9 map, you remember when they look into their comm system and they could tell which vessel was by the sign in the screen, this is the sign for the Dominion ship, I just tweaked a little bit, I change the color of the background and the color inside the rombo. It is similar to a bird with a cross in its pick. I will find a big shot and I can e-mail it to you if you wish.

Our scientist have not been able yet to open the box containing the second scroll, our friend EBZero contacted us recently saying that he found and old key that he was sending to us that may help us to unlock the box. We are waiting for the shipment to arrive. Menawhile our Armada now conform of 3 motherships and The fleet Cruiser Shemesh continues its journey. Our latest report shows an increasing battle between the Special (Evil) Forces and the FOTR, the outcome is very dark.

I think I am getting it down fairly well. I do not mind what kind of victory I go for in the long run. I do not use CTRL-N so I formulate a stratgey based on what I get and how well the early colony rush goes. I read the thread on the Succession Game and have been trying the technique of spamming with colony ships. It gets one off to a good start more often than not.

I do detest the freaking Altarians, who, in two games in a row decided to declare war on the stronger Drengins and Yors simultaneously---the jerks. I broke the alliance, made peace with the others and slowly built stacks of constructors. After a nice cultural grab, I discovered the speed with which terror stars clean things up (costly, yes, but doggoned quick!).

When you are playing a higher level games you must sometimes Ctrl-N specially to start at least with a PQ19 or 20 and 2 systems close by. The AI's start always with at least 2 or 3 systems themselves and you must remember that more planets you have more quick your research goes.

Granted I am mostly playing on normal, but I always try with what I have. One of my alliance wins was achieved with one planet, and one sector only. It was a strong planet by the end. I traded extensively and allied quickly. It took quite a bit to stay under the radar for the big guys to leave me alone, but I finessed it somehow ;)

I say I don't control-n, but I always start the game and see how it goes. If I wind up getting my butt kicked I exit to main menu and start over. I find it a great deal of fun and a challenge to start with what I have. :)

I do that many times, but since I moved to tough an up, it is kind of hard after playing for 15 turns getting wiped out by the Drengings, that is the reason that I always try to get in their good side at the beginning of the game, they and the Altarians are thr tough ones. ;)

That is what I have found, the Drengin and Altarians most often, but depending on their placement the others can be nasty too. I try to quickly evaluate who is/may become the strongest early on so I can make appropriate alignment decisions along the way. I also use it to decide who to start trading with first.

If the Drengin ask for money and I decide to pay, I try to sell techs to minors so I can use that to pay off the Drengin.

It really is a challenge to just "play what you get". In some games I have been jammed in one of the corners. I try to be as friendly, and if possible allied, with the ones that are my buffers (go through them to get me). This is why I leave alliance victory on, as to me a victory is a victory. If I can see a military win is possible, I will break the alliance and go for the win.

The other reason I will take a quick alliance win, is that I can start another game quicker rather than play a drawn out end game war. That is why I don't play on huge or gigantic right now, as I can submit more games and more quickly on smaller maps.

Hey M.B.M did you activate the decontamination chamber? We need to put Terl inside, his brain has been greatly affected by the attack of the Special Forces, he was inmerse in the toxic gases too long. Claidheamh grab his right foot, M.B.M. grab the left, I am holding the arms, so lets do it 1..., 2..., 3... here he goes swuuuup, sheshhhhhhhh, tom, tang, tom!!! here you got it. Now lock the door and let him sleep for a while, did you lower the temperature? Good, prepare the cold shower!!! LOL

When Seeker had journeyed to FoTR to regain control of Terl, he found Terl in the Prancing Pony. Amid the smoke, haze, and frenzied merriment going on therein, Seeker had mistakenly taken what he thought to be Terl from the Pony. Seeker had thrown a blanket over the assumed to be Terl and had not looked under said blanket until he uncovered it now....

To his amazement, there stood before Seeker a large stone troll. It was not a very happy, nor jovial, troll either; in fact one may say, for clarification to the reader, that this troll was in fact, quite angry. He was still quite upset at the loss of Bert, his brother, in that unfortunate event some years back, and he was about to exact vengence upon the man who had taken him, and rather abruptly at that, from his evening out on the town. :)
